Antawan Byrd, a double major in Art Education and Art History,  has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Lagos, Nigeria, where he will be studying developments in contemporary art and visual culture for next September through the following June. He has also been awarded an internship at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore where he will be working on a forthcoming exhibition on the hidden influence of Africans on Renaissance society and their subsequent impact on Renaissance art production. In addition, he was sought after by the Museum of Modern Art to interview for their internship program but declined because he had already accepted the Baltimore offer.

Matt Copenhaver, a fourth year Architecture student, won the American Institute of Architecture Award on March 31, in the annual competition between architecture students at Drexel University, Philadelphia University, Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.
